• Contacting the site person on arrival to check about any requirements for the day
• Maintaining a professional and non-invasive relationship with any contacts in the area we are testing.
• Checking the appliance lead visually for any breaks, cuts, kinks or exposed wires.
• Perform the tests on the Megger PAT4 including earth continuity, operation and insulation tests.
• If the appliance has passed testing, attach a safety compliance tag with test date, next test date, asset ID and technician’s name.
• We remind the client when their appliances are due for a re-test

Failed items

• Appliances that fail testing will have a sticker attached indicating that a repair is required and given to the appropriate person.
• If the failed appliance is to be discarded it will be given to the appropriate person to do so and removed from the database.

Documentation

A form is given to the client detailing:

• How many tests completed
• How many tests failed
• Summary of failed appliances and the reason why they failed
• Summary of failed applianes that were discarded
• Summary of appliances that were assessed but not tested
• Summary of appliances due for re-testing but not found

• Carry out loading, updating and management of Asset Register, with copies maintained on and off site
• Provide hard copy of Asset Register and associated system management documents.
• Provide complete or partial management of your system, at your discretion, including retest scheduling
